How To Make Baked Lemon Pepper Wings
Start by preheating your oven to 425 degrees and lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lay out the chicken wings on a cutting board or preparation area. Microwave the butter until melted.
Using a pastry brush or spatula, lightly coat each wing in butter. Add a sprinkle of lemon pepper seasoning.
Next, flip the wings over to butter and season them again. Then lay them out, skin side up, on parchment-paper lined baking sheet.
Bake for 35 minutes, then remove from oven. Serve and enjoy!
Cooking Tips
- Use parchment paper so wings don’t stick to baking sheet. Makes for much easier clean-up
- Space the wings out as much as possible on baking sheet to ensure even cooking and browning
- You can swap out the seasoning to make any flavor of chicken wings you love
How Long Should You Baked Chicken Wings For?
In a 425 degree oven, chicken wings should bake for at least 35 minutes to be cooked through. You can always check with a meat thermometer. Thickest point of chicken wing should be at least 165 degrees.
Should You Cover Chicken Wings When Baking?
There is no need to cover chicken wings when baking in an oven. In fact, the covering would trap the moisture and make the wings (particularly the outer skin) soggy. For crispy, golden brown chicken wings, bake them uncovered.
