Making tostones in the air fryer is incredibly simple! But what are tostones!?! These little crispy golden bites of heaven are a well known Latin American snack food. Tostones are actually underripe green plantains that are cut into slices, then fried until soft, mashed flat, and fried once more! They are super delicious but if cooked the traditional way quite greasy.

However, by making frozen ready to cook tostones in the air fryer, you get all that same yummy crispy texture and tastiness, but without all the added oil. Not to mention, there is no cleanup, and it is quicker too! Air fryer frozen tostones are truly the way to go when you are craving this Latin American classic. Just put frozen tostones in the air fryer, cook, and enjoy!

I like to serve tostones with Latin-inspired meals as well as just as a snack with a dip like guacamole. Some people even top them with beans or shredded pork and eat them like little tostadas.
