Start with high heat and move down to lower heat settings as the Brussels sprouts cook. This method results in the perfect texture.

Turn off heat and add balsamic vinegar in a drizzle. Toss to mix, then move to a serving bowl.

Should I Blanch Brussels Sprouts Before Sautéing?

Blanching (the process of submerging in boiling water for a few minutes before cooking) does take away some of the bitterness and softens the Brussels sprouts. However, slicing them in half– as this recipe instructs– allows them to cook thoroughly in the skillet without blanching beforehand.
