Health Benefits of Apples

Apples are very nutritious, especially the skin! If you want to get the most benefits from your apples, don’t bother peeling them.

They are full of fiber, antioxidants called polyphenols, and Vitamin C! They also contain a high amount of water, making them a filling snack and low in calories.

Apples are a great fruit to help you reduce your weight if replacing processed food with whole foods.

Next add the almond flour and baking powder. Stir well to combine.

Finally, add in the apples and stir.

Then you will spray the cake pan with some non-stick cooking spray to keep the cake from sticking.

Pour in the batter and smooth it out so it is evenly distributed in the pan.

Place the cake in the oven for 30 minutes to bake.

When done, it will be golden brown on top but still moist inside from all the apples!

Lovely, healthy cake. I was sceptical that the apple would cook in half an hour, but it did and looked just like yours. I added 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Next time I would line the tin so that I could turn the cake out, as it stuck. Thankyou for a great recipe!

I enjoyed making this recipe! It was quite good even the next couple days heated up in the microwave. I did add some Trader Joe’s sea salt caramel chips, which are also gluten free. They added an amazing touch of salty caramel that, to me, brought the cake up a notch. Thank you for the recipe!!

I used maple syrup, and added chopped walnuts. Crazy good stuff and super easy. Note I only used 2 apples because they were large and it seemed like enough. You might use a C measure on the apples in your recipe to make it clear.

What a great recipe! So nice and simple, healthy and delicious. Just what I was looking for!
I did make a couple of additions – whisked a little salt and some cinnamon into the almond flour, and a teaspoon of vanilla with the maple syrup. I diced the apples and measured as I added, till it looked about right. It came out to about 2 1/2 cups. I might add even more next time, and more spices. Oh and I used maple syrup instead of honey.

I love having a treat like this with no flour and no refined sugar. Just that bit of maple syrup is perfect!

I might try embellishing it more next time, maybe some rolled oats or nuts or something. It seems like it is flexible enough to take some playing around with.

Thanks for this simple and adaptable recipe!
I made two of these, one with honey and pecans, and one using maple syrup and walnuts. Other additions were 1 t apple pie spice and 1/2 t salt.
The one with honey browned more, and had a honey taste. I preferred the maple syrup and walnut.
For a tad sweeter cake, I mixed powered sugar with apple juice and drizzled it over the cake. This cake would also be great with a streusel topping.
