Benefits of Sweet Potato

There are some really beneficial nutritional aspects of sweet potatoes if you didn’t already know.

These starchy root vegetables contain loads of fiber, vitamins, and minerals, not to mention they are rich in antioxidants that protect your body from harmful free radicals, or unstable molecules.

In addition, sweet potatoes contain two types of fiber: soluble and insoluble. Both types of fiber are important for your body, as they promote good gut health and healthy gut bacteria!

Another benefit of sweet potatoes is the amount of beta-carotene it contains! This is what makes the sweet potato orange-hued. Beta-carotene is converted to Vitamin A in our body, which helps aid in healthy vision.
