And if you’re thinking, why naan!?! Because this Indian flatbread is the perfect base for pizza. It’s soft, fluffy, and doesn’t get soggy. Not to mention will hold any toppings you wish to add! Plus, it’s already made! No need to deal with pizza dough. The same goes for the sauce. You can just use some leftover pasta sauce for this recipe.
So the next time you’re stumped on what to make for lunch or need an easy after-school snack, remember this yummy air fryer naan pizza. It’ll be sure to satisfy those hunger pains in no time!
How To Make Air Fryer Naan Pizza
This is an easy recipe that the kids can help with! You just need some already baked naan, marinara sauce, and shredded mozzarella cheese! But if you’re feeling adventurous you can also use some homemade tomato sauce. Heck, you could even make a white pizza with some alfredo sauce if you want! There are no rules in pizza making.
The first step is to heat up the naan a bit, which will make for a crispier crust. So place the naan bread flat in the air fryer basket and then pop it into the air fryer for 2 minutes at 380°F.
Then remove the basket and spread some tomato sauce on the naan. Next, sprinkle it with some shredded cheese. Now, put your assembled mini pizza into the air fryer and cook it for 4 minutes at 380°F.
When the air fryer is done cooking, remove the naan pizza and serve!
Can I Add Toppings to My Pizza?
Yes! Pepperoni pizza is always delicious! And veggies like bell peppers, olives, and mushrooms are just as yummy on pizza too! However, sometimes the toppings will fly around in the air fryer. So if you know that you have an air fryer that tends to do this then I recommend that you add your toppings after your pizza is cooked. Just simply add the toppings to the cooked pizza and then close the air fryer for a couple of minutes to let the toppings heat up.
What To Serve With Air Fryer Naan Pizza
This cheesy mini pizza is perfect served all by itself, but if you want to make it a more complete meal you can easily do so by pairing it with my Arugula Salad with Burrata and Figs or my Kale Salad.
It’s also a wonderful starter to any pasta dish like my One Pot Sausage Penne Pasta, Garlic Shrimp with Linguine, or Turkey Lasagna! And if you serve it as a starter don’t forget to add a dessert like my Chocolate Cake with Cherries to the end of your meal!
