Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
I’m really excited about this air fryer recipe I am sharing with you all today. Get this – air fryer bacon-wrapped asparagus.
Sounds amazing right? Well, any recipe involving the word bacon has to taste good!
If you don’t yet own an air fryer, click here for the model I recommend. I use my air fryer several times per week and can’t imagine not having it!
The salty and crispy exterior from the bacon pairs really well with the perfectly roasted asparagus. I love to make this when I’m short on time and need to put together something quick.
You can have bacon-wrapped asparagus ready to serve in under 10 minutes!
Want to make it extra fancy? Add a slice of cream cheese over the top of the asparagus before you wrap it in bacon and air fry it. The creaminess from the cheese is so yummy. You have to try it!
If you don’t have an air fryer, use your oven! Using the same two ingredients, make your bacon-wrapped asparagus cooked in the oven. Then, simply bake it for 20 minutes.
If you’re not a bacon lover (kind of hard to believe) or want to keep this veggie dish vegetarian, try making these air fryer roasted asparagus without the bacon!
How To Air Fry Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
Before you start cooking, make sure to trim the asparagus by cutting off the tough stems. I sometimes also hold each asparagus stem by each of its ends and bend the stalk slightly until it snaps.
Take 2 asparagus stalks and wrap it with 1 slice of bacon, then put in the air fryer basket. I personally like to use thin bacon slices because they get crispy faster than thick-cut slices would.
Repeat the last step with the remaining bacon and asparagus.
Cook the bacon-wrapped asparagus in the air fryer at 400F for 8 minutes (no need to flip).
Cooking Tip
Make sure to not overcrowd the air fryer basket or the bacon will cook unevenly, so you may need to cook the asparagus in batches.
What To Serve With Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
If you are planning to serve this dish as an appetizer, I like to serve them as-is with a little drizzle of balsamic glaze over the top. The acidic flavor from the glaze pairs really nicely with the saltiness from the bacon!
If you serve the bacon-wrapped asparagus as a side dish, I highly recommend air-fried chicken legs or a juicy piece of steak with a loaded baked potato.
When I’m not in the mood to have a huge cleanup, I love to make a one-sheet pan meal like these baked sausages and potatoes. Delicious!
