Air Fryer Frozen Asparagus

It has never been easier to turn simple frozen asparagus into a tasty side! Cooking it in the air fryer is a no-fuss method that requires no prep at all. You don’t have to defrost it, trim it, or even turn on your stove. It turns out soft and perfectly cooked every time!

All you need is an air fryer! It’s a quick recipe that only calls for salt and pepper to season the asparagus. But you can use any seasonings you like to customize the flavor. A dash of garlic powder is always a yummy addition and a pinch of cayenne will give it some spice. I even sometimes like to sprinkle it with a bit of lemon juice, olive oil, and parmesan cheese!

You can serve it hot as a side or cold in a salad. It’s a really versatile healthy green vegetable that goes with almost any meal!

How to Cook Frozen Asparagus in the Air Fryer

You only need a bag of frozen asparagus to make this recipe! That’s it! Any brand will work and they come already trimmed and ready to cook.

To begin, open the package of asparagus and then place it into the air fryer basket in a single layer. It’s essential that you don’t crowd the basket or lay the spears on top of each other. They need to be in a single layer for the best results.

Now, put the basket into the air fryer, set the temperature to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, and cook for 8 minutes. That is all you need to do. The most important thing is just to cook at the right temperature and time.

When the air fryer is done cooking, transfer the asparagus to a plate. Then sprinkle with salt and pepper to season and serve! Remember you can use any seasonings you like. Even a drizzle of olive oil adds delicious flavor.
