How To Make Sausage Balls With Cream Cheese

First prep your cream cheese. It needs to be soft in order to mix with the other ingredients. Leave it out on the kitchen counter for an hour or microwave it (unwrapped) for 30 seconds to soften it up.

Add ground sausage to a mixing bowl. Pour in Bisquick. Finally, add the softened cream cheese.

Mix with a fork or other kitchen utensil until blended. Then use your hands to roll mixture into meatballs–about the size of golfballs.

Place meatballs on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes or until sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.

Why Are My Sausage Balls So Dry?

If the sausage balls bake up too dry, the culprit may be the ratio of sausage and cream cheese to baking mix. You can use a little less Bisquick or add milk (a tablespoon at a time) to balance it out.
