If you were looking for pecan recipes online, I’m sure you noticed that most of them are using corn syrup as essential pecan pie ingredient.  In this day and age, corn syrup got such a bad rep though that nobody wants to willingly put it in their mouth. If you get a pecan pie at the bakery, you eat it without over-analyzing it – after all, “what you don’t know won’t hurt you” :)  But having to purchase corn syrup for a recipe and pouring a cup of it into a pie makes most people cringe.  I have great news for you – this easy pecan pie recipe doesn’t have any corn syrup in it!

This is the same recipe I cut out of a magazine back in the 70’s! I was 13, and didn’t make it until I was grown, but it has been my favorite pecan pie recipe ever since. I’ve tried a couple other recipes but I always go back to this one. It’s just right.
