Craving some soup on a cool and rainy day? Ramen noodles are the perfect dish to make!
If you are a ramen lover who owns an Instant Pot, you owe it to yourself to try making ramen in your Instant Pot next time! This recipe works with any flavor ramen noodles. I used the chicken flavor one but you can pick whichever flavor you are in the mood to try. It is so easy and cooks in almost no time at all using the Instant Pot!
How To Make Ramen Noodle Soup In The Instant Pot
First open the package of ramen noodles and remove the flavor packet. Save it for later!
Then add the noodles to the Instant Pot, breaking them up into smaller pieces. Add 2 cups of water to the pot.
Close the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to a sealing position. Press the “Pressure Cook” or “Manual” button and set the time to 0 minutes on High pressure. When the Instant Pot is done cooking, quick release (QR) the steam.
After the steam has been released, open the lid of the Instant Pot. Stir in the flavor packet.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Serving Tips
- Top the ramen with sliced green onion.
- Stir in some miso paste for miso ramen.
- Add some sriracha for a kick!
- Drizzle on some toasted sesame oil.
What To Serve With Ramen Noodle Soup
You can enjoy this soup on its own for a light meal, or pair it with another recipe to make a filling lunch or dinner! You could even mix some veggies into the soup for a more filling bowl. Try adding some frozen peas and corn! You can also stir an egg into the ramen noodle soup (similar to Instant Pot egg drop soup). Yum!

Hello,
I was looking for this easy recipe. In the recipe and description you said set it to cook for 0 minutes. Surely this cannot be correct?
It’s correct, set it to 0 on High pressure. Ramen will be fully cooked by the time Instant Pot comes to pressure.
Makes perfect sense! My name is Melanie too! And we’re trying this with 3 packets and 6 cups of water right now. My son was soo confused about the time! haha! Looking forward to not using propane to cook the ramen (our electricity is free as we RV full-time)
Hi, thanks for this article and as a ramen addict, I’m going to try it!
Just one comment: you mention breaking the ramen brick into pieces. People may not want to do this for one reason: it breaks the noodles into shorter pieces. The fun part of eating ramen (for me, at least) is to slurp up long lengths of noodle!
Same issue with people breaking spaghetti sticks in half, for convenience when cooking in a smaller pot. By the way, try cooking pasta in the Instant Pot using chicken or beef broth (or Better Than Bouillon or similar) instead of water. Delicious!
also you can just boil the water on the sautee function and not pressure cook it.
