How To Make Pan Fried Breaded Chicken Tenders
First let’s prep the pan. Add cooking oil and turn the heat to high. When the oil starts sizzling, you’ll know it’s ready for cooking.
Meanwhile, it’s time to bread the chicken. Break one egg into a bowl (large enough to fit a chicken tender) and whisk it up.
Pour seasoned breadcrumbs into a similarly-sized bowl. Dip chicken tenders (both sides) into egg and then the breadcrumbs. Finally, add the breaded tender to the skillet. Repeat with all pieces of chicken.
Now it’s time to add the salt and pepper. Sprinkle both on the chicken tenders. (You’ll get the other side in a minute.)
Reduce heat to medium high and cook for 5 minutes. Next, flip the chicken tenders. Season them again. If necessary, turn the heat down to low.
Cook for another 5 minutes or until a meat thermometer registers at 165 at the thickest point of the tenders.
Once the chicken is done cooking, turn off the heat and use a spatula to move tenders to a serving plate.
Cooking Tips
- This recipe uses 1 Tablespoon of oil, but you can add as much as you like
- Be sure to add the chicken tenders to the skillet in a single layer for best cooking
- If, at any point, the chicken starts browning too quickly (before it’s cooked through), just reduce the heat to medium or even low
