Plantains In Microwave
Microwaving plantains is a quick and easy way to enjoy this tasty and sweet treat! Place the plantain (whole) on a plate and put it in the microwave. The heat helps bring out the natural sweetness of the plantains, turning them into a delicious and caramelized treat. Plus, it’s much easier to peel a plantain after it’s been cooked. They split right down the side.
You can enjoy plantains as a snack, a side dish, or even as a sweet addition to your breakfast. Sliced plantains can be added to stews, soups, or even salads to bring a unique and flavorful twist to your meals. Microwave plantains are a simple and convenient way to satisfy your craving for something sweet without much fuss in the kitchen.

How To Make Microwave Plantains
Place a whole plantain (including peel) on a microwave-safe plate.
Heat on high for 5 minutes.
Check to see that the plantain’s skin has split and the plantain’s insides are soft. If not, close the microwave and heat for another 1-2 minutes.
Once the plantain is cooked, remove the plate from the microwave. Peel the plantain and slice off the end where the stem meets the fruit.
Cut up the plantain and enjoy!
