Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp coconut flour
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk or almond milk
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil or butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  • Put melted coconut oil, maple syrup, milk and egg in a mug and whisk with a fork until well combined.
  • Add coconut flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and mix until well combined.
  • Put the mug in a microwave and cook on High for 90 seconds.

  1. I substituted honey for maple syrup and flaxseed for egg. Came out a little too crumbly and moist but the taste was still good. I also added chocolate chips. Overall success!

    Keeping this one for the books! I’ve made mug cakes and it’s up there. I used cacao powder bc I didn’t have cocoa, and actually forgot the baking powder so I’ll have to try it again with that, but honestly, it was great!
