Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Enchiladas
These air-fried frozen chicken enchiladas are bursting with flavor and turn out tasting like they were homemade. Using the air fryer is perfect for cooking frozen food, as it gives everything a fresher flavor and better texture.
These enchiladas come out perfectly cooked and have an amazing texture. They aren’t mushy at all, which is so important!
You can pair these enchiladas with all kinds of delicious sides, as they make the perfect main dish. Sometimes, I’ll even eat them on their own since they’re so hearty.
Even kids love these chicken enchiladas! If you have any picky eaters at home, you could try smothering the enchiladas in a delicious sauce. This can help to make them look more appealing to children.
They take a little longer than most of my air fryer recipes, but they are definitely worth it!
How To Make Frozen Chicken Enchiladas In The Air Fryer
Start out by putting your frozen enchiladas on an air fryer baking pan. If you do not have that fryer accessory, you can make one out of a few layers of foil.
Put the pan with the enchiladas in the air fryer without thawing them out beforehand.
Cook them at 390F for 18 minutes. Make sure to use a thin knife to check the middle of the enchiladas before taking them out of the fryer. Just to be sure that they have cooked through completely.
Serve and enjoy!
Tips For Making Enchiladas:
- If you like the outside of your enchiladas to be a bit crispy, leave them in for 3 to 4 minutes longer.
- If your enchiladas come out a bit dry, you could add enchilada sauce to them. This will make them moist and add a punch of flavor!
- If serving these to children, make sure you cut them up beforehand. Let them cool down for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
What To Serve With Mexican Chicken Enchiladas
These chicken enchiladas are delicious and hearty enough to serve on their own. But, if you want to make a complete meal, there are a few sides that would be amazing with them.
You can never go wrong with some cilantro lime rice and black beans!
Guacamole is a delicious side for these enchiladas or a Mexican street corn salad for a fresh bite. They would also taste pretty amazing served with a taco burrito rice bowl!
All of these side dish options are delicious and will help the enchiladas become a complete meal that everyone will enjoy.
