How To Make Pan Fried Kielbasa
Kielbasa bought from the store comes already cooked in the package, so you’ll just be browning it up. Start by chopping the kielbasa into evenly-sized slices.
Heat a skillet to high heat and drizzle in some olive oil. Add the kielbasa slices and wait for the pan to start to sizzle. Once you hear the oil sizzling in the pan, turn the heat down to medium high and give the kielbasa slices a stir with a spatula.
At this point, continue cooking for 6-8 minutes, or until the kielbasa is browned to your liking. Stir kielbasa every minute or so while cooking.
After it is done cooking, use a spoon to carefully move kielbasa from the skillet to a serving plate.
Cooking Tips
- Chop kielbasa into slices about 1″ thick
- Olive oil is totally optional in this recipe (especially if you use a nonstick pan), but it does add flavor to the kielbasa
- When removing the kielbasa from the skillet, try to leave most of the cooking grease behind
How Long To Cook Kielbasa On The Stove?
Heat at medium high for about 6-8 minutes, depending on how brown you want the kielbasa. While cooking, turn the whole kielbasa (or slices) frequently to cook evenly and prevent burning.
