If you want to rescue this amazing chocolate chip banana bread from the eaters, you can freeze it :) Let the banana bread cool, slice it, put the individual slices in ziploc bags, squeeze the air out and freeze.  Then to have a slice for breakfast, take out a ziploc bag the night before, put it on the counter and it will thaw by the morning!  This slice of chocolate chip banana bread will taste as good as fresh, and will be waiting for you to eat it! :) You can even warm it in a microwave for 10 seconds for that warm freshly baked taste and slightly melted chocolate chips!

How To Make Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

This chocolate chip banana bread recipe is so easy, it’s a lazy cook’s favorite! This is a one-bowl recipe that you just can’t mess up! And once you are done, you just have one bowl to wash :)

First, you need to mix butter and sugar in a bowl.  Next, mix in the eggs and vanilla, then add mashed bananas.  Then mix in the dry ingredients – flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.  Finally, add in the chocolate chips!  Pour the banana bread batter into a non-stick loaf pan and bake at 350F for 45 minutes.  You are done!

If you want some of the chocolate chips to be on top (like on my picture) instead of just inside the banana bread, save some chocolate chips and sprinkle them on top of banana bread right before baking. This is my trick for picture-perfect chocolate chips on top :)

    1. Yes, I’d bake for the same amount of time, then check for doneness by inserting the toothpick in the middle and see if it comes out clean. If not, then bake for another 10 min and check again.
