Costco sells excellent frozen vegetables for stir fry.  The brand of these frozen vegetables is Kirkland, and they are called “Kirkland Stir Fry Vegetable Blend”.  They are labeled as premium frozen vegetables, no preservatives, all natural, excellent source of Vitamin C.

Costco Kirkland Frozen Stir-Fry Vegetable Blend has the following vegetables as its ingredients: broccoli, green beans, sugar snap peas, carrots, red bell peppers, shiitake mushrooms, water chestnuts, baby corn and yellow onions.  If you had to buy all those vegetables separately and had to chop them, imagine how much work it would be and how much money it would cost!  Using these high quality frozen vegetables for stir fry is a great time and money saver.

The Costco package of these frozen vegetables is 5.5 lbs.  The package is resealable, so it’s easy to store in a freezer.  These frozen vegetables should always be stored in a freezer – just take out the amount of vegetables that you need and return the package back to the freezer.   I put this huge package of stir-fry vegetables in my freezer, and it lasts me for a month or two.  I love to make stir-fries, and if I don’t have any fresh vegetables on hand, these Costco frozen vegetables come to the rescue!

These Kirkland frozen veggies are really good – they taste as good as fresh in stir fries.  They will save you a lot of time – you don’t need to do any chopping!  Just throw these Costco frozen vegetables on a frying pan, cook for 5 minutes and they will be ready to eat!   To make a stir-fry, add protein (cooked pieces of chicken, beef, pork or shrimp) and cooked noodles or rice.  Season with soy sauce and your favorite spices.

In addition to tasty stir-fries, these Costco frozen vegetables can be used as a healthy and nutritious side dish.  Just serve the cooked vegetables alongside the meat or fish main dish.

Here are the cooking instructions for these frozen vegetables from the back of the package:

“Stovetop Cooking: For best results, stir-fry on a lightly oiled grill, work or frying pan, heated on medium to high heat.  Cook for approximately 4 to 5 minutes or until crisp and tender.

Microwave Cooking: Place frozen Stir-Fry Vegetable Blend in a microwavable dish (2 tablespoons water for every 1 cup of Stir-Fry Vegetable Blend). Cover.  Microwave on High 3 to 4 minutes.  Stir and cook an additional 3 to 4 minutes or until desired tenderness is reached.  Drain.”
