This round Pyrex bowl is a perfect size to be used inside the Instant Pot for Pot-In-Pot (PIP) cooking method!
If you’ve been following my Instant Pot recipes, they are all very basic – dump things in the Instant Pot, press the button and take out warm cooked meal :) I like simplicity! I rarely even use the trivet that came with the Instant Pot, as it’s an extra thing to wash – I only use it when I really have to, like when making this Instant Pot salmon.
As I’m trying to dip my toes into the Instant Pot pop-in-pot method, I realized that I need a good round bowl that fits well inside my Instant Pot. My baking dishes are rectangular, and my mixing bowls just don’t seem right to use as an Instant Pot insert. So in my search for a perfect round bowl to use inside my Instant Pot I discovered this round Pyrex dish – click here to view it on Amazon.
What is the Pot-In-Pot method of Instant Pot cooking? In Pot-In-Pot (abbreviated as PIP) method, you add water to the Instant Pot and put food in a separate bowl that is placed on the trivet inside the Instant Pot. This way the food in the bowl is not submerged in water!
As you can see on the picture above, this 7 cup round Pyrex dish looks like it was just made for Instant Pot – it fits there perfectly!
So unlike those people who like to peddle useless stuff that nobody needs, if I use a gadget, it’s something that’s truly worthwhile. If you are going to order just one Instant Pot accessory, get this Pyrex bowl for Instant Pot – you will thank me later :)
Can you use Pyrex in the Instant Pot? Absolutely! If it’s safe to use in the oven, it is also safe to use in Instant Pot. I have already used this Pyrex bowl to make Instant Pot banana bread and to reheat leftovers. Stayed turned for more Pot-In-Pot recipes from Melanie Cooks!
Another awesome thing about this Instant Pot Pyrex bowl is the fact that it has other uses :) You can store food in it in refrigerator or freezer, you can use it in the oven, you can use it as a serving bowl – any kitchen can use an extra Pyrex bowl. So if you don’t own this round 7 cup Pyrex bowl, get it today – you’ll love it!
