Kefta Kabob (also sometimes spelled Kafta Kabob) is a Middle Eastern recipe for a kabob that is made out of ground meat.  I often order kefta kabob in Middle Eastern restaurants, especially Reza’s restaurant in Chicago.  I also make my own kefta kabob at home, using the oven!

It is very easy to make kefta kabob yourself when you follow my very easy kefta kabob recipe.  My recipe for this ground beef kabob uses just 2 ingredients – ground beef and minced onion!

Ingredients For Kefta Kabob Recipe:

2 lbs ground beef
1 small onion, minced
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup cold water

Directions How To Make Kefta Kabob:

Preheat the oven to BROIL.

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced onion, water, salt and peper.  Keep squeezing the mixture with your hands until everything is combined.

Line a baking cookie sheet with parchment paper.  Shape the ground beef mixture into sausages and put them on a parchment paper.  Put in the oven on a top rack and broil for 10 minutes or until cooked through.  Do not overcook the kefta kabob or it will dry out!

Kefta Kabob goes really well with tzatziki sauce!  Kefta Kabob also reheats well, so don’t hesitate making it in advance.  Enjoy!
