Ingredients
- 5 large Granny Smith apples peeled, cored and thinly sliced

- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup butter softened
- 14 oz package soft caramels unwrapped
- 5 oz evaporated milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, lemon juice, and water until evenly coated.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly in an 8x8-inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, oats, and softened butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the caramels with the evaporated milk, stirring often until smooth.
- Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the crisp topping.
- Bake for about 45 minutes, until the apples are bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
