Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs
These Slow Cooker Baby Back Ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender and bursting with flavor! The crockpot does all the heavy lifting, and a quick finish in the oven makes them caramelized and finger-licking delicious. - Measuring Spoons for seasoning
- Basting brush or spoon for BBQ sauce
Ingredients
- 3 lbs baby back ribs trimmed
- 1/4 tsp salt to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper to taste
- ½ cup water
- ½ onion sliced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 18 oz BBQ sauce 1 bottle
Instructions
- Season both sides of the ribs with salt and black pepper.
- Pour ½ cup water into your slow cooker.
- Place the ribs into the slow cooker. Lay sliced onions and minced garlic on top.
- Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours or High for 4 hours until ribs are tender.
- When the ribs are almost done, preheat oven to 375°F.
- Carefully transfer the cooked ribs onto a baking sheet. Discard the onions and garlic.
- Generously brush the ribs with BBQ sauce on both sides.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and sticky.
- Slice and serve!
Notes
- Want more flavor? Marinate the ribs overnight before slow cooking.
- For extra caramelization, broil the ribs for 2-3 minutes after baking.
