Instructions
Wash the Squash:
Rinse the delicata squash thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or debris.
Prepare for Cutting:
Place the squash on a cutting board.
Remove the Ends:
Use a sharp knife to cut off the ends of the squash, particularly the end with the stem.
Cut the Squash in Half:
Carefully cut the squash in half lengthwise from top to bottom.
Remove the Seeds:
Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds and stringy pulp from each half. You can choose to save the seeds for roasting or discard them.
Slice the Squash:
Place each half cut side down on the cutting board.
