Bones from 1-2 rotisserie chickensor 1-2 lbs beef or pork bones
2celery stalksquartered
1onionquartered
Water
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
If you are using beef or pork bones, roast them first for better flavor by baking at 450F for 30 minutes. If you are using chicken bones, you don't need to roast them.
Put bones, celery and onion in a slow cooker. Fill the slow cooker with cold water, leaving 1-inch space from the top.
Cook on Low for 10 hours.
Strain the bone broth through a sieve or a fine-mesh strainer.
Add the salt and pepper to taste.
Refrigerate the bone broth in an air-tight container. Bone broth also freezes very well, you can pour it into ziploc bags and freeze.
