Homemade Bacon Bits
Forget about packaged bacon bits! Making your own homemade bacon bits with real bacon is so easy! These real bacon crumbles are so much better than store-bought!

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
Put bacon slices on baking sheets in a single layer.
Put bacon in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until very crisp.
Remove bacon from the oven and let cool.
Tear cooked bacon strips in 4 pieces (you can also cut them with scissors).
Put bacon strips in a food processor fitted with a steel blade. Pulse for 30 seconds, or until bacon is crumbled.
Notes
Store homemade bacon crumbles in a mason jar in a refrigerator for 1 week, or in a freezer for up to 6 months.
