Tomato Mozzarella Salad Recipe

I can’t get enough of fresh mozzarella in my salads! It goes so well with tomatoes, yummy yummy yum!  Tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese is a classic combo, and the most well known salad that showcases it is Italian Caprese salad.  I’m obsessed with that one too, I even have another Caprese salad version called chopped Caprese salad.  This time though I wanted to add this yummy tomato-mozzarella combo to regular green salad, so a new recipe was born!

Salad With Fresh Mozzarella And Cherry Tomatoes

This colorful refreshing salad is very simple.  Just take a package of your favorite salad greens (on this pictures I’m using “baby spinach and spring mix”) and add sliced cherry tomatoes, sliced fresh mozzarella cheese and sliced onions.  Dress the salad with a homemade dressing of extra-virgin olive oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice, toss and enjoy!

Fresh Mozzarella Salad

Simple is always best! This easy salad tastes amazing! Basically the difference between this salad and regular Caprese salad is that the integral ingredient of Caprese is fresh basil, but this salad doesn’t include basil.  Instead of basil, we are using regular salad greens (and a larger quantity too), plus we are adding onion slices for crunch.  Just a few simple substitutions and now we have a huge green salad with bright red cherry tomatoes, soft white fresh mozzarella slices, zesty onions and a perfect finish of olive oil and lemon juice – amazing!
