If you are tired of the plain white rice, try rice with green peas! Rice with green peas is a very easy to make side dish recipe. All you need to do to make rice with green peas is put some frozen green peas in the water when you are cooking your rice!
I always cook rice in a rice cooker, so I just throw a handful of frozen peas in the rice cooker bowl 🙂 The frozen peas will be thawed while rice is cooking, and you will get a very yummy rice with green peas. When the rice finishes cooking, just stir and fluff it with a fork, so the peas are evenly distributed.
Recipe: How To Make Rice With Green Peas
- 1 cup white rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup frozen green peas
- 1/8 tsp salt
- Put rice, water, frozen green peas and salt in a pot. Bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once the water starts boiling, reduce heat to the lowest simmer and cover the pot.
- Cook for 15 minutes.
- Remove rice with green peas from heat. Stir with the fork.
