How To Make BBQ Sauce
Making your own BBQ sauce is really easy and only takes 20 minutes! First, cook finely chopped onions with chili powder in oil on a frying pan until tender. Then add the remaining ingredients – ketchup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix everything and simmer for 10 minutes. That’s it! Anyone can make this easy barbecue sauce, and the results are so worth it!
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 cup ketchup
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ cup vinegar
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Heat the oil in a non-stick saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onions and chili powder, and cook, stirring periodically, for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ketchup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and garlic. Add this mixture to the frying pan and stir. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- If you want to have your BBQ sauce chunky, leave as is. If you want it to be smooth, blend it in a blender.
