Great Karoo Restaurant Review At Kalahari Resort, Wisconsin Dells WI

Great Karoo is an American restaurant inside the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI.  I’ve eaten at Great Karoo twice – Saturday night Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet, and the morning Breakfast buffet.  I liked both buffets and would definitely come back.

The Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet at Great Karoo restaurant at Kalahari resort is served on Friday and Saturday nights.  That buffet is $22.95 for adults, $12.95 for children, and includes all-you-can-eat crab legs.  The dinner buffet has lots of different food options, all really tasty.

Dinner buffet at Great Karoo At Kalahari has a salad bar where you assemble your own salad from lettuce leaves and a variety of vegetables and toppings.  All the veggies in the salad bar look crispy and fresh.

The buffet has the whole section dedicated to kid-friendly food.  There are many kids’ favorites such as macaroni-and-cheese, pizza, corn dogs and chicken nuggets.  You don’t have to walk around the whole buffet trying to figure out what the little kids can eat – all typical kids foods are in one convenient place.

The Great Karoo dinner buffet has a prime rib station with a person slicing the meat.  It also has different main dishes such as barbecued ribs, chicken teriyaki, several other chicken and beef entrees, shrimp with cocktail sauce, cheese ravioli, different kinds of pasta, different kinds of fish, mashed potatoes, corn-on-the-cob and rice.  My favorite thing at the Great Karoo buffet at Kalahari resort – all-you-can-eat crab legs with fresh drawn butter!

The Great Karoo At Kalahari dinner buffet also has an extensive desserts table.  There is chocolate layer cake, chocolate mousse cake, carrot cake, cheese cake, cookies and other pastries.  I wish I could eat them all :)

Now on to the breakfast buffet at the Great Karoo Restaurant At Kalahari Resort.  Breakfast buffet is served every morning.  The breakfast buffet at Great Karoo costs $12.95 for adults, $5.95 for children under 10, and $2.95 for children 3-5 years old.

The breakfast buffet at Kalahari’s Great Karoo is wonderful.  It rivals the very expensive brunch buffet places!  The breakfast buffet has fresh warm cinnamon rolls, french toast, blueberry pancakes, buttermilk pancakes, blueberry muffins, lemon poppyseed muffins, 2 other kinds of muffins, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, ham, eggs benedict, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, croissants, fresh orange juice, apple juice, ice tea and coffee.  I love brunch food, and that buffet is a true feast!  You’ll get so stuffed at breakfast that you might not be able to eat lunch :)
