easy simple white fish recipe

White fish is my one of my favorite kinds of fish.  It has a mild taste that’s not overbearing.  It has a tender delicate texture that just melts in your mouth.

White fish is such a tasty fish that I usually don’t feel a need to drown it in sauce.  White fish is good on its own, sprinkled with salt and pepper.

The best recipes are often the simplest ones!  All you need to do to make this delicious fish is pan-fry it in a little oil, then season with salt and pepper to taste.  You can serve this yummy fish with fresh lemon slices, so people can squeeze fresh lemon juice on the fish if they wish.  Delicious!

Here’s a super simple and easy way to make white fish:

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Put the fish on the frying pan so the fillets are not touching each other. Sprinkle with 1/3 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp of pepper.
  • Cook the white fish for 3 minutes, then flip the fish fillets to the other side and sprinkle with another 1/3 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper. Cook for 2 minutes (or until the fish is cooked - opaque throughout and flakes easily with a fork).
  • Remove the white fish from the frying pan and serve.

  1. isn;t it crazy how fish really is so simple to cook. recently my husband went offshore fishing and brought home a ton of fish. We tried to give it away to quite a few friends only for them to reply I don’t know how to cook fish. The thought of someone not knowing how to cook fish? The horror- this is the perfect recipe for them!
