Easy Simple White Fish Recipe

simple white fish on a plate

White fish is my one of my favorite kinds of fish.  It has a mild taste that’s not overbearing.  It has a tender delicate texture that just melts in your mouth.

White fish is such a tasty fish that I usually don’t feel a need to drown it in sauce.  White fish is good on its own, sprinkled with salt and pepper.

Here’s a super simple and easy way to make white fish:

Easy Simple White Fish Recipe

Cooking time: 5 minute(s)

Number of servings (yield): 2

Ingredients:

1 lb white fish fillets
2/3 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp oil

Directions For Making White Fish:

Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat.  Put the fish on the frying pan so the fillets are not touching each other.  Sprinkle with 1/3 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp of pepper.

Cook the white fish for 3 minutes, then flip the fish fillets to the other side and sprinkle with another 1/3 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper.  Cook for 2 minutes (or until the fish is cooked – opaque throughout and flakes easily with a fork).

Remove the white fish from the frying pan and serve.  That’s how you get dinner on the table in 5 minutes :)   This is the simplest fish recipe ever!

Even though fish is so easy to prepare I tend to forget to make it; thanks for reminding me!

isn;t it crazy how fish really is so simple to cook. recently my husband went offshore fishing and brought home a ton of fish. We tried to give it away to quite a few friends only for them to reply I don’t know how to cook fish. The thought of someone not knowing how to cook fish? The horror- this is the perfect recipe for them!

White fish is best kept simple as it is delicate. I usually steam, panfry, or broil it. Taste wonderful with flavored rice.
