This recipe is called “dirty rice” because the rice that’s originally white gets “dirty” with all the tasty goodies that go into it :) Cajun seasoning spice, ground beef, fried onions and carrots give this rice it’s color and deep flavor. Cajun dirty rice with ground beef is a great one-dish meal, and all ingredients can be found in a pantry and freezer! Cajun Dirty Rice Recipe With Ground Beef Ingredients 2 cups rice, uncooked 1 lb ground beef 2 onions 2 carrots 4 cloves garlic 1 can (15 oz) green peas, drained 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce 4 tbsp vegetable oil 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning 1/2 tsp salt Instructions Cook the rice according to package directions (I always use the rice cooker). While the rice is cooking, move on to the next step. Peel the onions, and chop them into small pieces. Peel the carrots and shred them in the food processor using the top disk shredder blade. Mince the garlic and set aside. Heat 1/2 tbsp of oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add shredded carrots and cook, stirring periodically, for 5 minutes. Remove the carrots from the frying pan into a bowl.
Here’s a great way to use leftover meat – put it on a baked potato. I had some leftovers of the homemade bulgogi Korean BBQ beef and they were so yummy with a potato! That was a great lunch! To make a microwave baked potato, prick the potato once with a fork, wrap it in a paper towel and microwave for 5 minutes. When it’s ready, it will be very hot, so be careful when you take it out of the microwave. Cut the microwave baked potato in half, put a little bit of butter on it and sprinkle with salt. Cut a lengthwise slit on each potato half. Warm up the meat in a microwave, and then put the meat on top of a potato. Enjoy the potato with meat piping hot!

Kefta Kabob (also sometimes spelled Kafta Kabob) is a Middle Eastern recipe for a kabob that is made out of ground meat. I often order kefta kabob in Middle Eastern restaurants, especially Reza’s restaurant in Chicago. I also make my own kefta kabob at home, using the oven! It is very easy to make kefta kabob yourself when you follow my very easy kefta kabob recipe. My recipe for this ground beef kabob uses just 2 ingredients – ground beef and minced onion! Ingredients For Kefta Kabob Recipe: 2 lbs ground beef 1 small onion, minced 1 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 cup cold water Directions How To Make Kefta Kabob: Preheat the oven to BROIL. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced onion, water, salt and peper. Keep squeezing the mixture with your hands until everything is combined. Line a baking cookie sheet with parchment paper. Shape the ground beef mixture into sausages and put them on a parchment paper. Put in the oven on a top rack and broil for 10 minutes or until cooked through. Do not overcook the kefta kabob or it will dry out! Here’s a picture of the raw ground beef [...]

Here’s a super-easy 3-ingredient main dish recipe that’s a snap to make! Ingredients: Ground Beef Flour Tortillas (burrito size) Shredded cheese Directions: Cook ground beef in a non-stick frying pan for 5 minutes, or until cooked through (no longer pink). Remove cooked ground beef from the frying pan into a bowl. Put flour tortilla on a frying pan. Sprinkle shredded cheese on 1/2 of the tortilla. Add some ground beef on top of the cheese. Top the ground beef with another layer of shredded cheese. Fold the empty half of the tortilla over the cheese, so the tortilla is folded in half. The cheese on both sides “glues” the ground beef to the tortilla, so the whole thing doesn’t fall apart :) Cook the filled tortilla over medium-high heat for 3 minutes (or until golden-brown), then flip with a spatula and cook on the other side for 3 minutes or until done. Make more beef quesadillas until you run out of the filling.

This recipe for Bulgogi (Korean Barbequed Beef) has an authentic taste, and is really easy to make! Ingredients For Korean BBQ Beef Recipe: 2 lb beef, thinly sliced 1/2 cup soy sauce 3 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp sesame oil 1/4 tsp pepper 5 garlic cloves, minced 1 large red onion, sliced 1 tbsp vegetable oil Directions For Korean Barbeque Beef Recipe: Make the sauce for korean BBQ beef: mix soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, pepper and minced garlic. Microwave the sauce for 30 seconds, then stir to dissolve the sugar. Put the sliced beef and chopped onion in a bowl and pour sauce over it. Leave to marinate for 20 minutes at room temperature. Heat the 1 tbsp of oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add beef and onion, and stir-fry for 5 minutes or until cooked through. Serve Korean BBQ Beef over white rice. Tip: for this recipe, I buy the cut of beef labeled “sandwich steak”. It’s very thin large slices of beef. Buying sandwich steak makes slicing really easy – you just slice in into strips, and then slice the strips the other way into more pieces.
